Sustainability
Our society is faced with limitations... available physical resources, landfill capacity, clean water, and many others. Sustainability is becoming increasingly important to help mitigate those limitations. It is not just a mindset, but people, communities, and agencies across the nation are putting ideas into action and creating new opportunities for upcoming generations. CEDP embraces sustainable principles in our corporate culture, in the Clients we serve, and projects we deliver.

Community
We are involved with mentoring senior civil engineering students in UW-Madison's Capstone course since 2011. The demanding course provides students with real project experience, encompassing the entire design experience from preparing proposals and interviewing to win a project to final bid documents and into construction phase. Learn more at UW-Madison's CEE Capstone Partnership.
We have helped UW-Platteville students since 2012 through the Iva (Whitford) Polkinghorn scholarship exclusively for students with an Education Major. The $2,000 annual scholarship helps a student annually who has demonstrated dedication to their chosen career and who may have greater life challenges than their peers. Iva graduated from the Wisconsin State Teachers College - Platteville (a predecessor school to UW-Platteville) in 1939 with a certificate in education. Learn more at UW-Platteville's College of LAE Scholarships.
